HISTORY

The Miniature Schnauzer, originally from Germany, evolved from its larger counterpart, the Standard Schnauzer. Initially bred to be rat catchers and farm dogs in the late 19th century, these dogs were valued for their compact size, spirited nature, and minimal shedding coats. They gained popularity in the U.S. in the early 20th century and have since become beloved companions worldwide, appreciated for their intelligence and spunky demeanor.
