HISTORY
Tibetan Terriers were originally brought to the West by Dr. Agnes Grieg. After successfully operating on a patient she was given a puppy named Bunti. In 1922 she acquired another male and began to breed. The first litter of Tibetan Terriers was born in 1924. They were first registered as Lhasa Terriers but the Indian Kennel Club changed the name to Tibetan Terrier. As such. they are not terriers in the traditional sense.
